Stealing Sunday

Welcome back loves!   I hope everyone has had a wonderful week.  I know I did.  Softball is FINALLY over.  It seemed like it was the season that wouldn't end.  Last night was the fireworks for the Freedom Festival, which in pass time it was known as the Ice Cream Festival.  It's held at our county middle school.  There are rides and games and booths set up for vendors and business'. On Saturday night they do a firework show.  Parking is usually really bad.  Luckily, Mr G's mamaw and papaw live on the same street as the school so we get to park at their house and walk the 50 feet to the field and watch them.  The weather is also a lot nicer this year then last.  It was in the high 70's.  Super nice compared to the 100's that we have been getting.  Anyways, enough of me rambling, on to the good stuff!

This is a series and they are each 3.99 or less!  That's a pretty great deal for a series.

By clicking the links below you are creating a WIN/WIN.  You get a great read and I earn a small incentive which in-turn is actually returned to YOU, my readers.  Those small incentive's are saved and used for giveaways.  Which kinda makes it a WIN/WIN/WIN situation.  :)

Happy Reading Yall!

  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Dibs in Search of Self by Virginia M. Axline

He sat down muttering, "No go home. No want to go home.  No feel like going home."

Capter 5.

I started reading this book as a recommendation from my husband.  He had to read it for one of his classes for his Masters.  I'm very happy with it.  I have not got to read that much lately and I wish I could change that.  This is a very interesting book that takes you on the journey of a little boy named Dibs who come out of his self inclosed shell.  If you are interested in how children act or the psychology part you will truly enjoy this book.

Happy Tuesday Yall!

I hope everyone had a great 4th week!  I know me and my family have!

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
But she, for whatever reason, spares Cas's life.

Death never leaves us. Once it's touched our souls, it hungers for our return--waiting for us to fall. And if it finds Ara again, she will have no way to escape.
Moving on from David was hard, forgetting the abduction and torture was almost impossible, but nothing as devastating as the thought that now, because of her, David might face the horrific punishments of the Set.
No one knows where David went after he lost Ara, but she can only hope he's the one leaving subtle clues for her to discover, and it makes her desperate to find him--desperate enough that she would risk her life, hanging out with an informant who means to kill her. What truths she is told about David's dark past, though, will threaten to change her heart and destroy the way Ara perceives everything. She must ask herself if it's right to love one monster, then hate the one who tried to destroy her.
In all her searching, the promise of immortality will finally be renewed, but sold at a price Ara's not sure she's willing to pay.
Is love enough to make her submit to this new role, or will it fail her once again and leave her reaching back for the grasp of death?
